Water Energy Rebates
Approximately 20% of the energy used in your home is used for water heating. PoolForce Virginia’s Residential Water Energy Savings Program makes it simple to reduce the amount of energy you use for water-related purposes.
Heat Pump Water Heaters
A rebate of up to $400 is available through our Water Energy Savings program when buying a new connected heat pump water heater that satisfies ENERGY STAR performance standards. Heat pump water heaters use electricity to transfer heat rather than producing heat directly. Heat pump water heaters have an energy efficiency of up to two or three times that of traditional electric resistance water heaters because of this design.
Pool Pumps
Our Water Energy Savings Program allows pool owners to save energy and receive a rebate of up to $300 off the purchase of an ENERGY STAR certified variable speed pool pump. Up to 75% less energy can be used by a pool pump when it has a variable speed.
How to Receive a Rebate From PoolForce
- Verify your eligibility for a rebate. Note that an electric water heater must be replaced with a heat pump water heater.
- Get a variable speed pool pump or an eligible heat pump water heater and have it installed.
- Please get in touch with a qualified contractor of your choosing to install your variable speed pool pump or heat pump water heater if you would prefer not to install it yourself.
- Note: You are free to select the contractor you want to work with to install your new equipment. If you don’t already have one, please locate a contractor in your area by using the linked list.
- Your rebate check will be mailed to the address you have on file with PoolForce when you submit a rebate application.

Extra Discounts Offered on Qualifying Models
Have you bought a heat pump water heater that qualifies from us? Enroll your device in the Water Energy Demand Response program to increase your savings even further. Upon successful participation, you will receive incentives annually.
- For your device to be eligible for the incentive, it must take part in 75% of the event hours during a specific demand response season. There might be more terms and conditions.
- After your first year of participation, receive $40 in rewards, and then $10 annually after that.
What Makes A Customer Eligible
Residential customers can take charge of their domestic water-related energy use at a reasonable cost by participating in the Residential Water Savings Program.
Program Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a residential client of PoolForce Virginia.
- Must be a single-family manufactured home (like a mobile home or modular home), a single-family attached home (like a townhome or condo), or a single-family detached home. This program isn’t available to residents of multifamily apartment buildings. Customers of multifamily apartments, however, might qualify for energy-saving strategies under the Multifamily program.
- Is in charge of the electricity bill.
- Is the house’s owner or can they obtain authorization to take part?
- Need to buy and install a variable speed pool pump or heat pump water heater that satisfies or surpasses ENERGY STAR® performance standards.
- An electric water heater needs to be replaced with a heat pump water heater. For water heaters that are not electric, there are no rebates offered by this program.
What's After The Purchase
To be eligible for your rebate, you must buy and install an ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump water heater or variable speed pool pump after confirming your program eligibility. The heat pump water heater and/or pool pump can be bought from any qualified retailer or you can buy them from the retailer of your choice.
To claim your rebate, please submit an application after purchasing a new heat pump water heater or pool pump.
